Today, I’m thrilled to introduce myself to you, as the heart and soul behind this blossoming creative sanctuary My name is Cindy and I’m a woman whose life has been a vibrant tapestry woven with threads of teaching, family, and boundless artistic passion.

As a retired ESL and Spanish teacher, I’ve spent a lifetime nurturing minds and hearts. Now, I’m channeling my nurturing spirit into a new and exciting venture – a crafting business hosted right on my beautiful property overlooking the serene waters of Little Sarasota Bay. 

As a devoted grandmother, I understand the importance of connection, of creating lasting memories, and of finding joy in the simple act of making something beautiful with your own hands and sharing the experience with others. 

I’m not just a teacher and a grandmother; I’m  a seasoned craftswoman, a master seamstress, and an expert in turning ordinary materials into extraordinary treasures. My hands have woven stories into fabric and breathed life into discarded objects. 

Now, I’m eager to share my expertise and passion with you, inviting you to join me in a weekly celebration of creativity and camaraderie.

Imagine a space where the air is filled with the scent of salty breezes and the soft murmur of conversation, where the sun sparkles on the water and the only deadlines are the ones you set for yourself. I am offering a soothing atmosphere and a  welcoming setting where women can come together to unwind, create, and connect.

Each week, we’ll embark on a new crafting adventure, exploring a diverse range of techniques and materials. Our crafting list is as boundless as our imaginations. 

A Journey Through Crafting Delights:

• Weaving Wonders: Explore the ancient art of weaving, transforming yarn, fabric scraps, and natural fibers into intricate tapestries, coasters, and wall hangings. Learn different weaving techniques and discover the meditative rhythm of the loom.
• Decoupage Dreams: Unleash your inner artist with decoupage, the art of decorating objects with paper cutouts. Transform ordinary items into personalized masterpieces, from vintage-inspired trays to whimsical decorative boxes.
• Decoration of Found Items: Give new life to forgotten treasures! We’ll explore the art of upcycling, transforming discarded items into unique and functional pieces. Think vintage bottles turned into vases, old picture frames transformed into charming shadow boxes, and weathered wood repurposed into rustic signs.
• Seashell Creations: Embrace the beauty of the coast with seashell crafts. Create stunning mosaics, whimsical figurines, and elegant jewelry using the treasures found along the shoreline. Let the natural beauty of seashells inspire your creativity.
• Wood Decorated: Explore the natural beauty of wood and learn to enhance it with various techniques. We will paint, stain, and decoupage to transform simple wood into beautiful works of art.
• Making Wind Chimes: Create melodic wind chimes that will add a touch of whimsy to your outdoor space. Experiment with different materials, from seashells and beads to recycled metal and glass, to create unique and enchanting chimes.
• Mosaic Magic: Dive into the world of mosaics, creating intricate designs with colorful tiles, glass pieces, and found objects. Design stunning tabletops, garden stepping stones, and decorative wall art.

The sky’s the limit! We wholeheartedly welcome your creative ideas and suggestions for future craft projects. This is a collaborative space, where we learn from each other and inspire one another.
